On October 13,2020 (victim) a white female, age 23 of Slocomb, Alabama, contacted Elizabeth Danielle McCormick(defendant), white female age 32, of 6228 Airport Road, Hartford, Alabama through Facebook Marketplace.  McCormick had listed a vacant mobile home for sale at 1331 South Watford Road, Slocomb, Alabama.  Victim and McCormick agreed that the victim would pay $1200.00 via Pay Pal to McCormick, who provided various electronic documents.  Victim later learned that the mobile home was not and had never been owned by McCormick and that she had no legal right to sell the mobile home.

On Friday, October 23, 2020, McCormick was charged with Theft of Property Third Degree and placed in the Geneva County Jail on $2500.00 bond.

Note: There is also a brick and mortar house on the same property.  McCormick and her girlfriend (Tasia L. Bailey) had "rented" that house to another individual that was in the process of cleaning up the house, preparing to paint the interior and had already had the power turned on.

Currently other charges may be filed.  This case is still under investigation by the Geneva County Sheriff's Office and Slocomb Police Department. Now there are Warrants for Elizabeth McCormick and Tasia L. Bailey.
