On 9/6/2022 The Sheriff's Office was notified about a Theft and Damage at the Malvern Baptist Church in Malvern, Al. The caller stated that two of the church vans had the catalytic converters removed and another had been attempted to be removed. The caller further stated that the surveillance cameras had captured a vehicle and possible suspect .

Inv. Alan Cole arrived at the scene and observed the damage and retrieved a copy of the Surveillance video. Inv. Cole was also advised by persons at the church that Houston County Sheriff's Office had also had several Converter thefts.

Inv. Cole then contacted Houston County Investigations to share the video to help further their and our investigation. One of the Houston County Investigators had already located some suspicious sales at a local salvage yard. The salvage business was checked, and they had purchased converters that matched with marks from the vans at the church. Using the information that we had, combined with the information that Houston County had obtained,  a suspect, Katriana Page Angelino was identified, and the Investigators began looking for her.  Later that evening Angelino and Robert Lane Hall were located and after being confronted with the evidence they confessed and gave statements about several thefts in both counties.

Both are currently in the Geneva County Jail. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court.
